About The Anderson Group
The Anderson Group is a team of independent estate agents covering Swansea, Mumbles, the Gower Peninsula and the Swansea Valley. There are four of us. We all live here, we all sell here, and between us we have a lot of this city’s streets covered.
Why we set up as a group
Melanie started on her own, looking after every client and every viewing herself. As more people asked us to sell their homes, she had a choice: take on fewer homes, or build a team that could give more clients the same personal service. She chose to build a team, and she chose every member carefully.
Each agent looks after their own area and stays with their clients from valuation through to completion, so you always know who’s handling your sale. Behind them is the whole group, sharing local knowledge about who’s buying and what homes are selling for, and supporting each other whenever a sale needs extra attention.
Our agents are also backed by a dedicated in-house support team, who keep every sale organised and moving. We’re proud that the way we look after that team was recognised with Employer of the Year at the 2026 Welsh Estate Agency Awards.
Melanie's story
In 2012, Melanie moved from Canada to Swansea with her husband and their newborn baby. Finding a home in a city she didn’t know, with a baby in tow, shaped the way she works today.
“Moving to a new country showed me how important it is to find the right place to truly call home. That’s what I help my clients do every day.”
Melanie has been in estate agency for over a decade and is qualified through NAEA Propertymark. In April 2026, she was joint winner of Female Estate Agent of the Year at the Welsh Estate Agency Awards. She founded the MA Academy in 2024 to train and mentor other agents, and she still carries out valuations herself.
We're independent agents
The Anderson Group is owned and run by Melanie here in Swansea – it isn’t part of a national chain or a franchise. There’s no head office monitoring our conversion rates or telling us how to work. Melanie runs the business exactly the way she wants to, with customer service at the heart of everything we do.
We’re partnered with eXp UK, which provides our technology, portal listings and compliance support. Everything else is down to us. Every decision about how your home is priced, marketed and sold is made locally, by the agent who knows your home and is handling your sale.
